			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You&#8217;ve been there and I&#8217;ve been there, the wake-up call that stops you in your tracks. Some call it the cosmic two-by-four - that moment of realization that finally grabs your undivided attention. Oftentimes it feels painful at the onset, but just as often you see the benefit of that &#8220;crisis&#8221; as you view it in hindsight.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve just completed another year. Perhaps it was a good year for you, or maybe you faced challenges that left you breathless a time or two. But you made it through and most likely learned some very valuable lessons during the process. Whether it was an illness, financial challenges, relationship changes, job loss, or anything else that felt difficult, the situation came into your life for a very important reason. In the end, as the situation resolved, you saw the blessings if you opened your eyes. There is always a gift in every challenge!</p>
<p>I believe our country is now receiving a heavy duty wake-up call. It&#8217;s a call to shed the blinders and begin paying attention to what is going on in our country. When things are going relatively smooth and seem prosperous, people tend to be near-sighted and ignore what&#8217;s going on beyond their own small world. But when Wall Street crashed and the economy spiraled into chaos, people suddenly paid attention. The wake-up call reared its ugly head and became real because it was now relevant to their life, and it felt scary!</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how I see our current situation. Although there are a small percentage of individuals who have contributed in a major way to the situation we now face, the circumstances affect each of us. The economic meltdown that has enabled a depressed real estate market, lack of available money for loans, loss of jobs, a greater number of failing businesses, and anything that appears to be challenging our economy, has actually happened to wake us up. As we face a crisis, we have the opportunity to become creative, and along with that creativity we receive an opportunity to rekindle our faith, faith in the belief that every challenge can be turned into something good and beneficial.</p>
<p>Our government, our leaders, our community, our legal system, our health system, our educational system, our financial system and on and on I could go, needs an overhaul. We&#8217;ve been hit with the cosmic two-by-four that says pay attention because it&#8217;s time for change. It&#8217;s time to re-group and re-create every aspect of our country in its present economic and moral challenges.</p>
<p>While this is much needed, the real re-grouping begins within each one of us. What have you learned from last year&#8217;s situations and challenges? What do you want for your life in the new year? Are you willing to step up to the plate and follow through? When you are faced with a choice, how do you make a wise choice? How strong is your faith to keep you envisioning what you want? These are questions that you need to ask yourself if you want your life to shift for the better. Most individuals will agree that 2008 was a year of crises and challenges. They also will probably tell you they don&#8217;t want a repeat of it.</p>
<p>So the first step in creating what you want is to de-clutter and throw out what does not serve you any longer. What negative beliefs have you been holding onto? Have you been focusing on lack, what you don&#8217;t have? Are you afraid of what the future holds in regards to financial security? Are you facing a relationship challenge, family issue, health concern, or a job change? It&#8217;s time to create a shift if you want your life to change into one that is extraordinary as you bring to you what you truly want. It&#8217;s been said that insanity is simply repeating the same behavior but expecting a different outcome! You have to shift your thoughts which become your behavior in order to receive a different outcome. Clean out those old negative thoughts and beliefs once and for all!</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s begin the shift. First and foremost, decide what you want your life to look like. Make it detailed and specific, and dream big. Pay no attention to your present circumstances for they can change in the blink of an eye. Until you decide what you want the universe cannot bring it to you. So, grab a piece of paper and make your list, as detailed as you can, and read it over every day to remind yourself to stay positive and focused on what you truly want.</p>
<p>Second, go about your life as if what you want is already on its way to you, for it is! You see, the minute you place your desires out there, the universe begins bringing it to you. Remember that likes attract likes, and whatever you focus on is created in your life. It&#8217;s that element about energy that no matter what energy you put out, that same energy comes back to you time and again. It&#8217;s a scientific fact that positive energy attracts only more positive energy experiences while negative energy attracts only more negative energy experiences. I am willing to bet that if someone taped your conversations or your thoughts throughout the day, you&#8217;d be shocked at how many negative thoughts and actions you have. Those thoughts and actions are creating your life experiences every day. Second step then is to believe your desires will come to you and focus on that vision and belief. If you don&#8217;t, you will stop it from coming to you, or at the very least delay its appearance.</p>
<p>Third, remember your essence. Spend time reconnecting with your source - get plugged in again spiritually. You were created out of love, in the image of God, and were born with an amazing power as co-creator with God to make your visions and dreams come true. When you live in the state of fear - where the people in our country live a great deal of the time, especially right now - you cannot create good from that state. Love is the opposite of fear and creates all good. This doesn&#8217;t mean you will never have a challenge come your way. What it does mean is that you will view them differently. Instead of something that creates panic in you, there is instead an internal peace and knowing that this challenge showed up for a specific reason and is an opportunity to create something good from it. The challenge actually makes you grow stronger. This takes a great deal of faith to remain in this space when your world feels as if it is crashing down around you, but if you do remain there, you will experience an amazing outcome that is probably something you would have never thought of on your own.</p>
<p>In order for the world to re-group, each individual must re-group themselves. Here are some positive facts that I hope will help you stay focused positively in the next year.</p>
<p>1. There is NO lack. The universe is abundant and you can thrive no matter what appears</p>
<p>otherwise in your life circumstances or in the world. Become resourceful with your</p>
<p>resources.<br />
2. You can do or be whatever you want if you are connected to your source.<br />
3. You are a powerful co-creator with God and the possibilities are without limit.<br />
4. If you focus on the good in your life, you will create more of the same.<br />
5. When you are grateful for everything, even the challenges, you expand that into more good.</p>
<p>Here are some affirmations that I have used that are helpful in shifting your entire belief system into one that is positive and expressed from the essence of love.</p>
<p>1. My income is constantly increasing.<br />
2. I have unlimited potential.<br />
3. My body now restores itself to perfect health.<br />
4. All my relationships are resolving perfectly.<br />
5. I deserve to love and be loved.</p>
<p>As the new year begins, why not try re-grouping and create the life you&#8217;ve imagined. Clean out the old and allow in the new. Resolve to stay on course this time and reach the possibilities!</p>

<p>A person&#8217;s mind is what gives them the drive to accomplish tasks in life. When a person&#8217;s mind is set for failure they perceive things in a different way as someone who is looking for success. The mind that is set on failure has the &#8220;I can&#8217;t&#8221; or &#8220;It&#8217;s too hard&#8221; attitude. When the mind says &#8220;I can&#8217;t&#8221;, most of the time it definitely won&#8217;t do what it&#8217;s thinking about. The success mind says, &#8220;Nothing is impossible&#8221;. When the success mind stumbles across something that appears to be a struggle it continues to figure out a way to defeat the obstacle. The success mind always knows that there&#8217;s a way; it just needs to be found.</p>
<p>How do you think? (Failure or Success)</p>
<p>Most people have the mind set for failure. Don&#8217;t be discouraged if this is currently how your mind is set. You can train your mind to think differently over time.</p>
<p>Twice a day, preferably once in the morning and once in the evening find a quiet place to be. Imagine yourself with the life that you desire. Make it vivid the types of things that you own and the things you would like to do. Don&#8217;t hold back on the items that you would like to have. Imagine yourself living in the home of your dreams no matter how much it costs. In this exercise do not try to be rational. Try to push your mind outside of its boundaries. Over time your mind will adjust to creating ideas to get to the desired lifestyle.</p>
<p>Before you can change your life you must change the way you perceive things around you. From this point forward we will start to develop your life plan. There is no right or wrong answers to the questions. Be honest and answer the questions to the best of your knowledge and really push yourself to answer them completely.</p>
<p>Learn to Float</p>
<p>What&#8217;s your vision for your life?<br />
Where do you want to end up?<br />
Do you want to be wealthy?<br />
Do you want to own a business or have a certain career?</p>
<p>Get a blank piece of paper and write out a summary of how you see your life in the future.<br />
(This is your vision not someone else&#8217;s vision for you.)</p>
<p>Prepare a Life Jacket</p>
<p>Now you must create steps to get to the vision. Each step should be a clear task with a date for completion. The date allows you to determine whether you have met the task or not. It is very important to spend some time thinking these items through. These tasks are what will keep your dream afloat. Poor planning in this area will lead to disappointment. Do not let your emotions drive the tasks. Do not leave off a task that you know is crucial just because you are afraid that you can&#8217;t do it.</p>
<p>If you do not meet a desired date you need adjust the date to allow for extra time to accomplish the task. In some cases you will see that some tasks are no longer appropriate to have in your plan due to a change in direction so these items will need to be removed.</p>
<p>Get a sheet of paper and list out your tasks.</p>
<p>Example:<br />
Purchase one bond by February 1, 2008.</p>
<p>To begin I recommend using tasks that are weekly. By using weekly tasks, this forces you to come back to your plan each week to see how you are doing. When each task is completed check it off of the list.</p>
<p>For a plan to take shape the owner must continue to believe that it will happen. Often people get discouraged from the negative people around them. Do not get discouraged continue to push through the difficult times. People don&#8217;t agree with your vision because they can&#8217;t see it. Many people think in the form of having to visually see something to understand it. Negative things will transpire throughout your whole life but you must believe that you will get through them. People are negative due to the frustration of being unable to control their own lives.</p>
<p>You must believe in yourself before any of your desired outcomes will take shape. If you don&#8217;t believe in yourself no one else will believe in you either. Each time that you are sitting alone struggling for an answer to a problem believe the answer is already in you.</p>
<p>It takes time to build something great, stop looking for an overnight success.</p>
<p>Fear (Failure)</p>
<p>The fear of failure is what causes many people to stay anchored to an unhappy situation. There are too many &#8220;What If&#8221; scenarios running through the mind.<br />

<p>We have been taught that if you want something done right do it yourself. This thought process is a thing of the past. Throughout your day listen to how many times you hear someone say, &#8220;I don&#8217;t have enough time&#8221;. It&#8217;s because they are trying to do everything themselves. From this day forward focus on the things on your task list. If it&#8217;s not on your task list find someone else to do it. A perfect example is trying to fix your car yourself. Why spend two days trying to fix something that you can pay to have done in two hours?</p>
<p>Diligence</p>
<p>Attack every item on your task list as if there was no tomorrow.</p>

Only you can see your vision it was given to you for a reason. Many times our friends and family can&#8217;t see our vision because it wasn&#8217;t meant for them.</p>
<p>Money<br />
You can never have too much money. The key is to learn how to make money other than working. Throughout life you must learn how to recreate an income with little or no effort on your part. Below are some ideas to get you to start thinking about money differently.<br />
•Purchase Bonds<br />
•Creative savings (Use those nickels and pennies to build wealth - don&#8217;t be afraid to pick up a penny off the street)<br />
•Don&#8217;t rely on the government to take care of you.<br />
•Don&#8217;t rely on your company to take care of you.<br />
•Create your money army.<br />
•Pay yourself at least 10% from each pay check you receive from your job.<br />
How Big Is Your Army?</p>
<p>Many individuals assume that just because they have money they won&#8217;t have any problems. Money may make items such as bills temporarily go away but struggle is not that far behind. If you have poor money management skills money will compound your problems. Have you ever seen people who inherit money but they end up becoming broke? These individuals instantly go out and purchase liabilities (cars, motorcycles and etc.) instead of investing in assets to build their money. Whether you have an abundance of money or $10 in your pocket money building principles are still the same. The intention should be to grow money into a fledgling profitable return.</p>
<p>So how do you do this?</p>
<p>The first thing to do is look at money differently. Look at each dollar in your pocket as a member in your army. Every time you spend a dollar it should have a mission or a purpose. Each purpose should be something that will help to add to the number of members in the current army. Each time you pay bills you lose a member of your army, it&#8217;s a casualty. Think about how many bills you pay per month. It&#8217;s very easy to see how small an army can become. So let&#8217;s figure out a couple of ways to build your army.</p>
<p>Stop reasoning with your mind; your dreams are non-negotiable.</p>
<p>Vehicles</p>
<p>For the purpose of this writing a vehicle is an avenue that can be used to grow wealth.</p>
<p>Savings Bonds - If you&#8217;re having trouble saving money one of the easiest things to do is accumulate savings bonds. Most bonds are unable to be cashed until a specific amount of time. In many cases a bond must be held for a minimum of five years. The time requirement allows for the potential of a large quantity of bonds to be collected over time.</p>
<p>401K - If you work for a company with a 401K make sure to participate. A 401K is an easy way to get into investing without becoming an expert. Many times your company will make a matching contribution to your plan. If you are looking for a simple way to get introduced to stock investing this is it. As you get raises make sure to adjust the contribution plan to account for the extra income.</p>
<p>Bonds and 401K are safety nets; both of these investing vehicles are pretty safe.</p>
<p>Many people draw loans from their 401K to make large purchases. If possible try not to borrow any money from your 401K, allow it to accumulate without any interruptions.</p>
<p>Bank Plan<br />
Create a bank plan for yourself to have no less than $1,000 in your bank account. This $1,000 should be the minimum amount in the account at all times. If you currently have less than $1,000, create a plan on how to accumulate this amount in twelve months. Having this goal will help train your mind to understand that any amount of money is achievable. Each year many Americans wait to get their tax refund checks. Once they receive their checks they instantly purchase items that don&#8217;t add to their army. We tend to think that wealth is accumulated quickly but in many cases it is built slowly.</p>
<p>My mother would always say, &#8220;You will have bills until the day you die&#8221;. This was her way of telling me to quit worrying. I wish I would have listened to her sooner in my life. Always invest in your army before investing in someone else&#8217;s army.</p>

Answer: Their armies are bigger than yours.</p>
<p>You must diligently find creative ways to build the members of your army. There will be times that you will fail but their will be times you will find success.</p>
<p>The more members in an army the more opportunities will be presented to the army.</p>
<p>Find a hobby to increase wealth.</p>

Antique record collecting<br />
Antique game collecting (pinball machines, arcade machines)<br />
Antique Toy collecting</p>
<p>These hobbies are vehicles to start wealth building at a minimal cost. With the right research you could see considerable growth in your army. This will allow you to have fun while giving the potential to double an army&#8217;s size. These types of hobbies allow for simple items to become assets. Assets are things that can increase in value or provide a return. There should be little or no effort on your part if these are true assets.</p>
<p>Keep the strategy to build your army simple and fun. As long as you follow this technique you will continue to build your army. Many people stop building their army because they become frustrated. As long as it&#8217;s fun you will continue to give an effort to produce the desired results.</p>
<p>Closing</p>
<p>There is nothing that you can&#8217;t do but you must start today. Use this workbook to start planning the life you desire. Look at the tasks you have written weekly and use them to reach your dreams.</p>
<p>While making a plan for your life, keep it simple. Don&#8217;t over complicate or over think your desires. An over complicated thought usually turns into a thought that&#8217;s never reached.</p>
<p>You must invest in the most valuable asset you have - your mind. Purchase books on many different subjects. Read about investing, leaders and people who are doing what you&#8217;re trying to accomplish.</p>

<p>Is the pen in your hand? If it is then you did not do what I asked. If you are holding the pen, put it down on the table. Done? Okay, now try to pick up the pen.</p>
<p>Have you figured it out yet? When you pick up the pen, you have succeeded in picking up the pen. But when I asked you simply to try to pick up the pen, there is no way you can pick up the pen if you are only trying to do so. Think of the original Star Wars movie when Yoda told Luke, &#8220;There is do or do not. There is no try.&#8221;</p>
<p>By now you determined that the word &#8220;try&#8221; really means failing with honor. In fact, the word try means, &#8220;No way is that going to happen!&#8221;</p>
<p>So the next time you ask someone to do something and they tell you they will try&#8211;are you going to expect the task to get done? If you think yes, then go back and try to pick up that pen again.</p>
<p>Catch yourself when you use the word try. Notice how you feel. Does your energy feel high and good? Or does it feel a bit sluggish, not too great. Ask yourself how you feel about the request that led to your saying you would try to get it done. Is the activity something you look forward to accomplishing?</p>
<p>Learn to follow your heart. Instead of telling someone you will try to do something you really do not care to tackle, simply tell them to ask someone else. Be honest and let them know you will not get it done.</p>
<p>Telling someone up front avoids their having to deal with disappointment later.</p></div>

<p>Distraction is the least lacking in this world specially here in the US and one&#8217;s focus can easily be shifted. Not to mention the day to day trivial incidents that stick to memory.</p>
<p>I know many of you struggle to stop your mind from wandering and daydreaming.</p>
<p>But how much fight do you put on to get your mind back to the path that will lead you to accomplish your goal?.</p>
<p>My little secret is to have the courage to be judgmental to yourself. Yes, you have to have to be just a little hard on yourself.</p>
<p>When I realize that my mind is waisting time on some of the things that are not relevant to what I am suppose to be thinking, I have the courage to recognize it first, secondly find ideas that will make me aware that (for example, since I am an immigrant here, I remind myself how lucky I am to have made it here and that I should make good use of that advantage to help the people back home who are struggling to just get decent food to eat or water to drink). That usually helps, so you have to find something that you know you are really sensitive to that will make your mind switch right away!</p>

<p>Most of us know what to do to get what we want. Just knowing it isn&#8217;t enough. To know and not to do is yet to know. We need to take action to achieve what we want. Every single human being been given everything that he or she needs to make their dreams come true. Remember. you came into this world winning.</p>
<p>The secret to getting everything that you want: Ask for more stuff and you will get more stuff! Hang around with people who will ask more of you than you will ask of yourself. This is one of the fastest way to grow and improve yourself. It is a force to help you step outside your comfort zone.</p>
<p>Optimism, hope, and will power, without a plan, cause hesitation, procrastination and doubt. There will be fear. Fear stops you. Most of us don&#8217;t have a plan to go beyond our fear. A plan gives you a more systematic approach to achieve your goals. It must be a plan that you will want to act on it. If you fail to plan you plan to fail.</p>
<p>We only do what we feel like doing. A bad habit is something that you don&#8217;t want to do and you know you shouldn&#8217;t do, but you do it anyway. This could be a case of just follow the flow. Discover the purpose of your existence. Always look where you want to go. You have the ability to make things show up in your life.</p>
<p>Most of us focus on what we don&#8217;t want and that is what we get. What you focus on will expand. Spend more time and energy on achieving your best goals and you will get there. But it will not happen overnight. It takes time. So have a lot of patience.</p>
<p>Learn to praise yourself and love yourself. You need to believe that you are worthy to achieve your dreams. Put a stop to your bad feelings because these are like psychological brakes which prevent you from being your best.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t just take knowledge in. Do something about it. A dictionary book is very useful if only you open it and start using it. Every day do something to improve your life. When you glow with energy you are like a magnet and you attract the good people and things to you. The people around you will also benefit from the light you shed.</p>

<p>I ran over an interesting fact recently. This fact is the amount of cells, which every human brain - on an average. Did you know that each of us about two hundred billion cells in the brain alone? Pretty intense cell count, huh? Well, then I discovered that the average person is about 1% of these cells in their entire lifetime! This means, of two hundred million cells in our entire lifetime, we only use about two million! Imagine the potential that you have! <p>You are going to run into challenging times while striving for your goals. Old Murphy&#8217;s law, if anything can go wrong, it will usually kick in when you are very close to achieving your goals, the obstacles make you feel deflated, tired and de-motivated.</p>
<p>Positive affirmations, sometimes referred to as positive self talk are useful statements which give you encouragement, boost your confidence and re-program your subconscious mind so that you can get back on track to achieving your goals. I used to think they were a waste of time because not matter how many times I said &#8220;do it now&#8221; I kept on putting it off. After research I realised that there are a few guidelines that you need to follow for your affirmations to be effective.</p>
<p>Michael Mahoney a psychologist from Pennsylvania state university studied a group of gymnast hoping to qualify for the US Olympics team. He asked the gymnast to talk about their the thoughts during competition. He found that the most successful ones in other words the ones that qualified for the Olympic team had the same doubts and worries as the un-successful ones, but what set them apart was their thinking, the successful athletes constantly encouraged themselves by repeating positive affirmations.</p>
<p><em>&#8220;If you think you can, or think you cant, you are absolutely right&#8221; Henry Ford.</em></p>
<p><strong>Examples of positive affirmations are:</strong></p>
<p>I am always courageous and confident</p>

<p><strong>Guidelines for making your positive affirmations more effective:</strong></p>
<p>1. Always state them in the present tense.</p>
<p>2. Say them in a passionate, emotional and authoritative voice in your head or aloud.</p>
<p>3. Say them whilst in a highly emotional state, use your emotional memories to get you there</p>
<p>4. Record your positive affirmations, listen on your MP3 player whilst relaxing and visualising the results (This programs your subconscious mind)</p>
<p>5. Always state the positive affirmations based on what you want for example If you are scared of something don&#8217;t say &#8220;I am not scared&#8221; because the mind will focus on scared. Instead say &#8220;I am courageous.&#8221;</p>
<p>Have fun and notice the tremendous results you are going to experience when murphy&#8217;s laws tries to drag your down. Kick him in the teeth whilst affirming I am a victor not a victim. By the way that wasn&#8217;t a great positive affirmation. &#8220;I am victorious&#8221; is better.</p></div>

<p>I tell them that this is completely normal. If you already think and believe these positive thoughts, you should not need to replace your negative self-talk. With time and repetition, the positive is real and familiar. You start to enter your system of beliefs and, where appropriate, your old negative thoughts start to feel bad.</p>
<p>We have filtered our world and our experiences in the context of our systems of belief. If we try to change our self-talk, and our belief systems, we shake our understanding of our world and ourselves so that we resist. It is easier to continue with what we have always known, instead of throwing our inner world in chaos.</p>
<p>Once someone starts to say how good you are wonderful, if in the course of your life have you heard, on the contrary, it is really hard to believe that this message is simply not true. It is not your idea of itself. It&#8217;s not like you the World filtered and sense of the events throughout life.
